The Monastery

The Monastery Retreat Centre at Urrbrae is situated on 10 acres of spacious and beautiful grounds. While conveniently close to public transport and only five kilometres from the heart of the city of Adelaide, the Monastery is a place of prayer and peace. The Monastery Retreat Centre was built in 1958 but has just been extensively renovated making it an ideal venue for all forms of conferences and retreats. There are now five major conference rooms of varying size, and numerous smaller discussion rooms. The Sacred Garden, which features 14 carrara marble sculptures depicting the Stations of the Cross, is an area dedicated to peace and tranquility for reflection and prayer. It is open to the public 9am to 5pm, 7 days a week. Guided tours are available by appointment.
