Nestled 14 kilometres north-west of the city centre, Semaphore is a seaside suburb offering great amenities and a laid-back environment to residents. The suburb is known for its well-preserved heritage buildings, modern-age houses, parklands, top-notch schools and medical facilities.
Getting Around: As you take an evening stroll along the Semaphore Beach, feel the sand between your toes and the waves lapping at your feet as you cool off on a warm summer’s evening.
And for the active: jog, run or cycle along the Esplanade or swim in the water for some healthy aerobic exercise. Or take a short walk to the Semaphore Waterslide Complex for some fun in the sun, water slide, rides, games and a bouncy castle for the children. Then meander onto the historic Semaphore Jetty built in 1860 for some fishing or to admire the white sandy beaches and the low sand dunes sprawling along the coast.
