Just a quick stroll or 1-minute drive away is perhaps the biggest attraction in Silver Sands, a family friendly beach which is patrolled by the Aldinga Surf Life Saving Club from Nov to March. With flat compact sand you can drive on (no need for a 4x4) and launch the boat or simply load up the car and set up for a long day under the sun.

You are sure to be pleasantly surprised by the abundance of native fauna and flora that surrounds you here. The 'Blue Lagoon Washpool' which attracts an array of birds is located directly behind Sandpiper, and you have direct access to explore it through the gate in the garden. You will also be no more than a minute's drive or a short stroll from the blue waters of Silver Sands Beach, the Aldinga Conservation Scrub, and the Aldinga Washpool.

Of course, the world-renowned McLaren Vale Wine region is only a 15-minute drive away, but you'll also find quite a few local boutique cellar doors, craft breweries, and small-batch distilleries in Aldinga and its surrounds.
